Daily Challenge

Wherein we try to jolt some inspiration into that work of yours

Welcome one and all to another day. Today is Wednesday, which means it's time for the quotation themed "Wisdom Wednesday".

Codes of Conduct & Courtesy
- Please post your submissions directly to the community (as well as anywhere else you may like). This keeps commenters within the community and helps keep the community alive and whole.
- Responses to Wisdom Wednesday must be ficlets (short stories >100 words, <2,000)
- When posting fiction, please use the appropriate headers and/or warnings
- Daily Challenges remain open forever; you can respond to them any time you like, with as many responses as you choose. All we ask is that you please make sure you use the appropriate tags ("daily challenge response" and "daily challenge: #no"). It's only so someone else can find it!

Today's Challenge:

"Man is tormented by no greater anxiety than to find someone quickly to whom he can hand over that great gift of freedom with which the ill-fated creature is born."
Fyodor Dostoevsky (1821 - 1881), "The Brothers Karamazov"

Take your favourite character and shove him / her in a dystopian world. Where do they fit in the hierarchy?

See you tomorrow for Thoughtful Thursday!

With love,
